Ant Fresco in your videophone?

Posted by Richard Goodwin on 10:30, 11/6/2003 | , , ,

ANTProps to Manuel Timmers for sending us news of Leadtek using ANT Fresco in a videophone set top box.

According to the article on Leadtek's site, they've licenced the "ANT Fresco browser from ANT Limited, a leading provider of browser-based content rendering solutions for consumer electronic devices" (cough) "as an integrated component of its next-generation broadband videophone set top box". The box is aimed at ISPs and Telcos rather than end users specifically, so don't expect to see one in your high street store any time soon. However, it connects to a TV and is using standards that allow it to be used in Europe as well as the US and Asia (Ethernet content delivery for instance), so who knows?

Probably only so far as giving you something to read on TIB :)

The developments with Oregano are probably more promising.

Unregistered user Hmm, check out the descriptive alt text for the logo on their home page :)

Looking at the code, the page was done with Dreamweaver, so to say that the ANT logo was so big cannot surely be. If they were smart and used Macromedia Studio MX (DW and Fireworks MX etc.) they would have no excuse not to optimise their graphics :)

Of course, that makes the GIF too 'leet for Mozilla to render, so PhotoDesk/1784bytes it is.

Well, it didn't for me, not in 1.5a. And if you want to be obnoxious, at least have the guts to use your real name.
