Foundation RISC User DVD Edition

Posted by Andrew Duffell on 23:23, 21/2/2005 | , , , , , , ,

cogiconRISC OS Ltd are releasing a DVD compilation of Foundation RISC User magazine. The DVD will contain all 16 issues spanning the past five years which amounts to over 1GB of data.
Although Foundation RISC User is only available to members, ROL are making the DVD compilation available to everyone. There is a weighted price structure based on how long you have been a Foundation member, or whether you are a Select member. The cheapest price is 8.05UKP, and the most expensive 43.30UKP.
This is the first native DVD-ROM for RISC OS, so will only run on certain RISC OS systems:
  • A Risc PC with a DVD drive, running RISC OS Select or Adjust
  • Virtual Risc PC running on a PC with a DVD drive, running RISC OS Select or Adjust.
Other RISC OS systems may still be able to run the DVD, but it is worth noting that RISC OS 5.0x doesn't support DVDs even though the DVD was created on an Iyonix. However it is highly likely that you will be able to read it on a PC or Mac.
