R-Comp/RCI Product announcements/upgrade for Wakefield 2004
In addition to Grapevine 2 and the RISCube Ultra announced in
separate postings, we are pleased to announce a number of new
products and updates for Wakefield 2004
R-Comp Internet Suite for Virtual-RPC
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
The way internet access and networking are implemented on VirtualRPC
mean that traditional methods of internet access via RISC OS (eg.
our DialUp software) are no longer the right tools for the job. Add
to that a number of small changes brought about by the new networking
modules used in VPRC and the HostFS filing system, and we have found
it necessary to produce updated versions of our Internet Suite for
use on VRPC. The suite for VRPC comes on CDRom to ensure users
can easily install it, and updates all of the main applications
to versions suitable for use with VRPC. In the case of DialUp,
this is completely replaced with a version of NetFetch adjusted
for use on VirtualRPC. This allows the suite to operate both
with dial up modem connections, and broadband, on Virtual RiscPC.
The suite costs 30ukp inc as an upgrade for existing users.
This price includes a manual describing its use on VRPC, and
technical support for VRPC users.
UniPrint 1.50

Our UniPrint software allows users to utilise the printing capabilities
of Windows PC systems to print to almost any printer, direct from
RISC OS applications. The show sees new versions of all three UniPrint
family members (UniPrint VA/PCcard, UniPrint regular, and UniPrint
deluxe), adding support for printing to windows shared network printers,
VirtualRPC-Adjust, updated configuration software and various other
enhancements. The upgrade will be 10ukp to help cover on-going development
of UniPrint (UniPrint passed its 18 months' anniversary a couple of months
ago).
Updated MusicMan

There will be a new version of our MusicMan software, with a number
of enhancements and tweaks based on user feedback.
USB HID Drivers for Iyonix
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
We are pleased to announce that the latest version of XAT's HID
keyboard/mouse/joystick drivers for the Iyonix will be available
at the show, priced 10ukp. These drivers allow many advanced
facilities of modern keyboards and mice to be used on the Iyonix,
and the latest version supports USB joysticks too!
WebsterXL update
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Yup, new show, new WebsterXL upgrade. Webster's continuing development
and expansion allows the software to grow and encompass more features,
more web sites, more operating system variants, and so on. This
will be sent to existing customers after the show (due to time
constraints). It's safe to say that over the years, WXL has seen more
free updates and enhancements and new features than virtually any other
RISC OS application!
