Simtec have sent word of final reductions in their
clearance sale of discontinued upgrades for Acorn computers (AKA the page of cheap old stuff). There's an IDE interface for a tenner! RISC OS 3 for two quid! With all this talk of some show or other happening soon, perhaps it's time to pick up a "classic" RISC OS machine for peanuts and then take advantage of Simtec's offers to build, um, a games machine or something.
Prices shown are ex-VAT, ex-carriage, subject to availability yadayada. However, please note that the email came with the phrase "cheap as chips" included, for which Gavin must accept some reduced emphasis on the serious details in this news posting, and possibly some form of ritual humiliation.

Yeah, I'm talking to them about that - takes ARM 6 and 7 cards as it is, although with some sweet-talking it could be made StrongARM ready... |
