More show reports

Posted by Richard Goodwin on 11:50, 22/5/2002 | , , , , ,

I've been on the look out for other reports than ours and although Drobe's show report did a disappearing trick recently, it's now back up with more info and thumbnails to the photos - well worth a visit. As Paul "The" Vigay couldn't make it to the show riscos.org posted a nice link to us, so I had to make tea for everyone this morning.

But the strangest place for a show report to turn up at is surely the MicroDigital newsroom. There's photos, and nice things said about rival companies, and everything. Is MD finally getting a clue about PR? I'm having a bit of trouble adjusting to this alternate reality, but it's a nicer place to live.

Oh, and ta to the minions at CJE, the RiscPC motherboard turned up nice and safe this morning. RISC OS 3.71? I didn't know there was anything between 3.70 and 3.80...

So, any more show reports or people's experiences to put up?

Unregistered user A7000+ from what I remember 3.71 supports the ARM 7500FE. A7000 ran 3.6 I think.

Unregistered user Yes, RISC OS 3.71 contains support for the floating point hardware in the A7000+, and it also includes the 'ROM patches' (v2, not the beta v3). All A7000+ machines, and some late Risc PC machines, were shipped with 3.71.

Unregistered user And mine now :) Wow, I'll have spare RISC OS 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7 ROMs kicking around now. Plus two RISC OS 4.02 machines and a RISC OS 3.71 :)

Unregistered user The show's getting smaller every year - in a couple of years there'll only be the charity stall and the wakefield user group stand! I have got a nice new simtec ide interface now though :) Oh, and "alternative", not "alternate"!

Unregistered user At least *some* parts of the RISC OS community can cooperate :)

(See bottom of http://www.myriscos.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=191&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0 for further evidence ;) )
