Customers who have ordered an Omega from Microdigital can expect something interesting in the post this week.

"Please find enclosed our proforma invoice for your base Omega computer system." writes David Atkins. "We are sorry about the delays especially as we have been ready to ship since the beginning of December, anyway thank you for your support."

Despite this very welcome news, it seems that "some items may have been placed on back order, so these will be forwarded under separate documentation". It is unclear which components this statement refers to (such as larger hard drives, PCI upgrades, the PC card, or even the XScale daughter board) because although your news correspondent's order is complete, it doesn't include any of the lavish upgrades on offer.

From this letter we can draw the reasonable conclusion that Microdigital have solved their mysterious NDA issues and can finally release those Omegas from their office into the community. Good stuff.
